OUR PHILOSOPHY

Health is more than just hospitals

At the Circle Foundation, we see health as more than just hospitals, medicine and clinical care. Real wellbeing grows through connection to one another, to community and to the place we call home.

In the Eurobodalla, social isolation, loneliness and a fragmented health system can make it harder for people to live healthy lives.

That’s why we believe it is important to focus not only on treating illness, but also on the social factors that shape health and wellbeing (i.e. the social determinants of health).

We believe rural communities have a unique strength.

While we may have fewer resources than larger cities, we are rich in something just as powerful: community.

It is our social capital, and it sits at the heart of everything we do.

By bringing together individuals, community groups, service providers and decision-makers, we help create place-based solutions that improve health, reflect local needs and are built to last.

As a cooperative, collaboration is not just how we work, it is how we believe meaningful, lasting change happens.
